They all did it! On Sunday 11th October, our Big Leapers took the leap and skydived from 10,000 feet to raise funds for Stonepillow…and Gary went even higher to 15,000 feet! The added bonus was due to an overcast day the start of their freefall was above the cloud level where they saw a rainbow. Take a look at them jumping, and being filmed for BBC South Today!

Thank you once again to sponsors Cathedral Wealth Management and West Wittering Cricket Club, their sponsorship which ensured they all got to leap.
This is a ground-breaking new fundraising event ‘The Big Leap out’ with an exclusive team of first time Skydivers. This unique team is solely made up of Stonepillow residents, temporarily ‘at home’ in one of our supported properties, each on their own personal journey to independent living.
Together, they share the same dream, of taking to the skies and jumping from 10,000 feet to raise funds and contribute back to their ‘home charity’ Stonepillow, and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.

The Big Leap Out Team
Meet our team of Skydivers that took up the challenge and leapt from the skies in aid of Stonepillow.
It’s one small jump for mankind, but one giant leap for me. A jump into my new life
I want to do the skydive because it’s a once in a life time chance for me and to give back to Stonepillow for all the support they have given to me
It’s always been on my bucket list to jump out of an aeroplane. Being able to do it, raise money for Stonepillow and support the great work they do is a massive bonus. As is being strapped to a guy with a parachute!
I would like to do a skydive as its something I’ve always wanted to do, and it will make people more aware of the help and support Stonepillow provide
The reason I want to do the skydive is to raise awareness for Homelessness in the Sussex area. Also, this is something I’ve always wanted to do so having the chance to do it is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me
It’s exciting that I have been given the chance to do something for a good cause as I am a little bit of a thrill seeker. I see it as part of my recovery journey and want to raise awareness for Stonepillow and what they have done for me.
I always thought skydiving sounded really fun, but I never had the chance to do it before, so I’m really excited to have this opportunity. I’m also glad to raise some money for Stonepillow, as they have helped me so much over the past year
