Hilary Bartle is stepping down as chief executive of Stonepillow after seven years leading the West Sussex homelessness charity.

During her time at Stonepillow Hilary has overseen the growth and development of the charity, including launching an ambitious new strategy in 2025.

Hilary leaves Stonepillow due to relocating to another part of the UK.

Chair of Trustees Olivia Pinkney said:

“Hilary has been an integral part of Stonepillow, and will be much missed by staff, volunteers and clients alike. Her expertise, commitment and passion to end homelessness has been a driving force for change.”

“The Stonepillow team, supported by an experienced interim CEO, will continue to deliver trauma-informed, client-centred services and exceptional support to individuals across West Sussex.”

“The Trustees are committed to recruiting an experienced leader with a heart for homelessness and a head for leading our high-performing charity.”

Hilary Bartle leaves the charity in March 2026. Peridot Partners are overseeing the CEO recruitment process.
