Our amazing volunteers

Galvanising a ‘coalition of the willing’

We have incredibly strong volunteer support, with over 180 members of the local community clocking up over 20,000 hours of precious time every year to provide services that are integral to the running of Stonepillow. These include cooking in our two Hubs, mentoring, collecting food, helping out with events and at our Restore shops, as well as amazing initiatives of their own including bake sales, challenges, donating their skills to run training sessions.

“The pandemic galvanised a coalition of the willing to pick up the mantle and protect the most vulnerable within our communities … to enable a ‘no wrong door’ approach for people needing to access help and support. Stonepillow will not sit back on its laurels. We will build on this challenging experience and continue with the aim of ending rough sleeping and supporting those who have experienced homelessness and complex traumas to rebuild their lives.”

Could you volunteer at Stonepillow and help us run our Restore shops, organise fundraising events, drive a van? We are always grateful to our ‘coalition of the willing’.
