Dragon Boat Race – 23rd August
Come down and join us the Arundel Festival Dragon Boat Race. Watch us compete against 30+ other boats as part of our charity boat aptly named ‘Harbouring Hope Dragons’ the day will take place alongside the bridge at river Arun and there will be various stalls and entertainment and plenty of competitive rowing to watch. Emergency Services Day – 24th August
Join us at the Emergency Services Day taking place at Oaklands park! Fire engines, police vehicles, ambulances, and helicopters will be taking over Oaklands Park on Sunday 24 August for Chichester’s first Emergency Services and Community Day.
The event is free to attend, and people are invited to come along between 10am and 4pm for what promises to be a fun-filled family day out.
Throughout the day there will be an exciting programme of educational live demonstrations from fire, police, ambulance, and coastguard crews and visitors can expect to see a range of current and historic emergency services vehicles on display.
Children and families can enjoy music, entertainment, and activities including bouncy castles and rides. A variety of refreshments will be available from food vendors and concessions along with dedicated picnic and play areas.
A range of interactive community stalls run by local charities, support services, and organisations will be available to browse, and visitors can also bring their pets along for dog behaviour and training advice and dog first aid.
