Stonepillow team up with UKHarvest

Stonepillow team up with UKHarvest

Harvest Festival is upon us and we are asking local churches, schools and community groups to donate food to Stonepillow to support homeless and vulnerable people across our services.

We are so grateful for your support and rely on your donations to provide our clients with nutritious meals. As the donations come in, volunteers work hard to organise them and re-stock the shelves to see us through the rest of the year.

Check out Harvest Wish List!

The food needs to be shared between our projects and in March we teamed up with UKHarvest to make this process more efficient. UKHarvest is a not-for-profit food rescue organisation that collects quality excess food from all types of food providers and delivers it, direct and free of charge, to charities across West Sussex.

UKHarvest support us by helping to manage our garage of donations. They are also able to collect lots of additional food in their refrigerated vans, which means we are able to offer a greater variety of food to our clients. What’s more is that UKHarvest can distribute the surplus food that Stonepillow cannot use to other local charities across West Sussex, having a greater impact and helping more people in need.

UKHarvest operates from our Chichester Hostel, and therefore as per previous years, you are welcome to drop off your smaller donations directly to Stonepillow Chichester Hostel, St Joseph’s, Hunston Rd, Chichester PO20 1NP.

Please call Brogan on 0333 305 7777 or 07468 574 252 prior to dropping off the donation so we know you are coming.

For large donations, please email Brogan at brogan.rehill@ukharvest.org.uk to schedule a collection directly from you in the UKHarvest refrigerated van.

We look forward to receiving your donations. Thank you for your support.
