Saul's skydive for Stonepillow!
On Saturday 21st April, Saul will be taking a giant leap for Stonepillow, along with 14 other participants who have all decided to take the plunge to raise vital funds for our new hostel in Bognor Regis.
Saul has been a resident at our Recovery Service for the last 4 months and as soon as he heard about the skydive he said he wanted to do it to give back to Stonepillow.
Saul says: "I am sober now, thanks to Stonepillow. I hate heights, I get giddy looking over the edge of a multi-story car park but I am willing to go to any lengths to help with my recovery, even if it means chucking myself out of a plane. I feel privileged to be in a good place now and I want to raise money for Stonepillow in order to help others.
The scariest thing about the day was jumping out of the plane, but now it's meeting up with my Dad who is driving me there as I haven't seen him for a very long time. Throughout my recovery I have been facing my fears on a daily basis.
It's onwards and upwards for me, the new clean and sober Saul. I would like to say a massive thanks to Stonepillow, in particular, the staff and my peers at the Recovery Service for all their support.
Please sponsor me and help raise more money for Stonepillow. Thank you."
