Chichester District Council staff redeployed to support rough sleepers
We have been very lucky to have staff from Chichester District Council staff temporarily redeployed to us to help distribute food to rough sleepers across the district who have been placed in temporary accommodation. They have been incredibly busy transforming our day hub into a streamlined food preparation and distribution area including a sanitation zone, freezer inventory, meal planner and 2 new fridges.
The Chichester District Council team are continuing to ensure that all clients stay safe and socially distanced by delivering lunches and food parcels across all accommodation and services, using food kindly donated by many local and national food suppliers.
We continue working in collaboration with Four Streets, HEART, Grandads Front Room, Food Banks, Fareshare and many more to ensure that all those who are receiving support from us are receiving food and nourishment. We appreciate the donations we have received and continue to need food particularly fresh food to meet the demand.
If you are able to donate any items, please drop them off at the Chichester Hub, St Cyriacs, between 9am and 5pm, Monday – Friday. Please note that the Hub is limited to a certain number of people at any one time in order to meet social distancing guidelines. Thank you for your support.
