Celebrate the Street

Organised by Chi Cycle and the 20's Plenty group, this event marked the unveiling of the new 20mph signs in Chichester and combined with a Summer Fair / Street Party.
Theme of the day – walk, cycle and 20mph!
Stonepillow Restore featured along "Recycle Road" – we were selling bikes from The Bike Shed, plus furniture and bric-a-brac, along with many other stalls, activities and fun competitions.
- Refreshment Row – BBQ and drinks
- Cake Close – A Cake baking competition with prizes at 12.00 noon – Judged by Whipped & Baked
- Flower Way – A flower arranging competition with prizes and Grand Auction of arrangements at 2.00 pm
- Memory Lane – Quiz about our streets, Swap memories of what our streets were like, and record them in our Book of Memories, Tea Dance
- Bike Boulevard – Try out a cargo bike with Kids and Family Cycles – rides for little people. Try out an electric bike with Filarinskis of Bosham and EZGreen, Slow bike, skateboard, mobility scooter races
- Tandem Terrace- Try out a tandem with or without blindfold and experience the street as a blind person to promote 4Sight
- Amusement Alley – themed games for the young and the young at heart
- Art Avenue – get arty about your streets including Guerrilla Knitting, Community Collage of your Ideal Street, Pearly King and Queen of the 21st Century, Street Feet Video, bike tyre and feet art
- Pamper Parade - paint your toenails, foot massage, chill on the street
- Crafty Crescent
- Decorate your Scooter competition 1.00 pm
- Unveiling of the 20mph signs by the Mayor of Chichester and Margaret Whitehead at 3.00 pm
- St George’s Square Big Balloon Launch at 4.00 pm
