Winter Night Shelter Opening Soon!

Glenlogie House in Bognor Regis

Stonepillow is pleased to announce that we have been given support and funding by Arun District Council to provide a Night Shelter in Bognor Regis, to support the single homeless in the Arun area. For the next six months, Glenlogie will be open for 7 days a week. This will mirror the successful service currently provided at St Joseph’s in Chichester.

Glenlogie will also open as a Day Centre for three days per week, on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10am and 3pm. This will offer a place for rough sleepers to come for lunch and access to important services, such as health services, workshops, employment and housing opportunities.

For the last two years Stonepillow have managed the Cold Weather Provision in the Glenlogie Building. The service has worked well to identify those most in need, kept people from freezing to death and enabled us to start working with them to provide support.

We are delighted that this year Arun Disrict Council have been able to fund the service on a full time basis this winter. This means we will be able to support rough sleepers by offering them shelter for an initial 28 day period. Whilst there, we can work with them to secure housing, support, work and manage their own health - breaking the cycle of homelessness.

Some of our previous and current clients who have used our services are already offering to help us out, but we have also asked for our friends in the community for help via donations as well as giving up some time to volunteer alongside us.
