Who says fundraising is just for adults?
"My name is Oliver and I am 10 years old. It makes me feel really sad when I see homeless people on the streets, so I asked my mum what I could do to help.
Mum took me to Stonepillow and I met the Chief Executive, Geoffrey Willis, who showed me around the Chichester Hostel. Geoffrey said they always welcome single duvets, pillows and bedding (as they have 86 people sleeping in their properties each night) so I sent a note to all our neighbours and asked my school to put a note in the weekly newsletter.
I was really pleased that so many people wanted to help and it made me feel really good inside when I dropped everything off to Stonepillow. I want to try and raise some more money for Stonepillow so in the coming months I am going to do a Car Boot Sale and a sponsored walk to help the homeless."
Our work would be impossible without the support from our local community. Find out how you can help Stonepillow empower homeless and vulnerable people to make positive changes in their lives.
