Vote for Stonepillow

Election manifestos published by the five main political parties as identified by the national organisation Homeless Link.

Labour

Tackle the causes of homelessness and rough sleeping.
Review the homelessness legislation.

 Green

Require local authorities to treat single and childless people the same as families when presented as homeless.
No longer allow the classifying of people as ‘intentionally homeless’.
Aim to end rough sleeping completely, and give public authorities a duty to prevent it.

Conservatives

Look to scale up social impact bonds and payment-by-result to focus on youth unemployment, mental health and homelessness.
Encourage councils to work together in initiatives such as Troubled Families Programme and Better Care Fund to integrate and better deliver public services.

Liberal Democrats

Launch a full review of the support available to single people under current homelessness legislation.

UKIP

Establish a National Homeless Register to ensure anyone suffering from homelessness receives the support they need whilst seeking to eliminate homelessness.
Build 500 affordable rent homes every year and eight halfway house hostels for homeless veterans.

Stonepillow will still be here when the next government has come and gone. We are not a replacement for public services but we get things done and we make a real difference to our society.

With your support we work to empower people to access public services they should rightly access rather than feel isolated and rejected – Anxiety, fear, sadness, powerlessness or anger – There is more than one or five ways to change the world.

Remember that, with your support, Stonepillow is here to change your community. Every day we make a difference physically and practically, and if you believe in supporting local vulnerable homeless people, then Stonepillow champions the cause.
