Stonepillow supporters win Spirit FM Local Hero Eco Award!

Our congratulations go to Aida and John Stephens of Whipped & Baked, who have won the Spirit FM Eco Community Award for their work supporting Stonepillow via Suspended Coffee, as well as sourcing their products from local suppliers and donating food to our Projects in order to reduce waste.

Stonepillow nominated the couple as a way of saying thank you and recognising all the support they have given to Stonepillow since launching Suspended Coffee, including trays of brownies for fundraising events, surplus food donations, and cooking at the Day Centre, not to mention the warm welcome they have shown our clients at their coffee shop.

Aida and John have donated the £200 prize money to Stonepillow - this is fantastic news.

They are also inspiring other local businesses to get involved with Suspended Coffee, with Andy’s Fish set to put their own Fish and Chip twist to scheme – watch this space!

Aida Quote:

“We have just heard from SpiritFM that we've won the Eco Award category for the Local Heroes Awards. This was a huge surprise and I even had to ask them to repeat the news 3 times because I was flabbergasted. Thank you for the nominations, Moira Strickland and Stonepillow.”
