River Hope Project visits The Hub
For the fourth year running, the River Hope Project visited Stonepillow’s Day Centre, The Hub (Old Glassworks, St Cyriac’s) with it’s roaming art project - this year in the form of one of three willow spheres. On Thursday 30th May homeless and vulnerable clients visiting the Hub helped to decorate the sphere with shells, willow stars and hoops, and even a homeless teddy bear (see picture)! The activity, guided by Project Coordinator Stuart Callow, certainly brought about a lot of smiles and laughter amongst both the clients and Project Workers.
The sphere has already visited Chidham Parochial Primary School, St Wilfred’s Hospice and the Foundation Studies Garden at Chichester College. It will make one more pit-stop at the Chapel Street Clinic before joining the other two spheres at the River Hope Sculpture Gardens in Market Avenue (opposite St Richard's Church) where they will be exhibited from 10th - 29th June.
